The Studio

studio_logoThe Studio, our new makerspace, is a collaborative place that encourages creative exploration, design, and building, using a variety of technology and equipment.

The Studio is open for Park Ridge cardholders to use with a variety of equipment and tools to inspire and spark creative ideas.  Our collection of equipment and tools has been carefully selected by our staff based on research and feedback from a survey shared with all Library cardholders.

The Studio is generously sponsored by the Bruce A. Michel Trust.

The Library will close to the public effective at 6 p.m. on Friday, March 13.

The Library will plan to reopen the morning of March 30 at 9 a.m.

The Studio is located on the second floor, near the Reference Desk and patron copiers. Orientations and drop-in sessions are currently available on Wednesday evenings and Thursday mornings. Register for orientations and classes on our events calendar.

Interested in using the Studio equipment on your own?  After attending an orientation, you can fill out this form to request an appointment, or call us at 847-720-3230.
