3D Printing has arrived! Stop by the Library to see our 3D printer, located in the 1st floor Children's Department. If you have a design that you would like to have printed, please click HERE to review our policy and fill out the 3D Printer Design Submission form. There is a fee to cover the cost of the plastic filament.
Thanks to the generosity of the Bruce A. Michel Trust, patrons now have access to a Mac computer loaded with Adobe products, including Dreamweaver, Illustrator, Muse, and Photoshop. We also have equipment for digitizing your old family photos and videos, podcasting, and more. An orientation is required to use the Lab. Please call Reader Services at 847-720-3280 if you have any questions.
Expand your horizons! Explore the world and beyond by checking out telescopes, robots, green screen kits, GoPro cameras and more. Most items are available to view and check out on the 2nd floor in Readers' Services, but umbrellas and bike locks can be found at the Circulation Desk. If you or someone you know is unable to come to the Library due to an illness, injury or disablility, please let us know. We have volunteers that will deliver and pick up library materials for you. Be automatically on the reserve list for your favorite authors every time they write a new book! For the complete list of available authors, stop by the Reader Services Desk on the 2nd Floor.
The Library has two meeting rooms for use by nonprofit community groups and businesses, for non commercial purposes. Due to demand for these rooms, groups may reserve a meeting room only once every three months.
The Park Ridge Public Library offers test proctoring for students of long-distance or online learning programs and for professionals taking licensing exams. We proctor written exams only. We do not proctor exams requiring a computer or other technology.
You may register to vote at the Library. Please stop by the Business Office Monday - Friday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. and bring two pieces of identification with your current address.
Wi-Fi is available throughout the Library along with wireless printing.
