Thank you to the parents, schools and daycares who joined us at our 2023 Preschool & Enrichment Fair! If you weren't able to attend, you can pick up a booklet in the Children's Department with information about the participating preschools, daycares and enrichment programs. A list of these participants also can be found on our Preschool & Enrichment Fair page.

Children's Department Activities

January Monthly Activity: Arctic Fox

Arctic_Fox
Make an arctic fox in the Children's Department beginning January 2. Ask for a kit at the Children's desk and turn in your finished arctic foxes to decorate our windows!

 

 

 

 

 

First Friday Fun Kits

Look for our craft program, First Friday Fun Kits, which be available beginning at 9:00am on the first Friday of the month. A limited supply of crafts will be available in the Children's Department to pick up to complete at home. One craft will for younger kids and one for older kids (more manual dexterity required). Additional supplies may be necessary. Limit one craft per child. 

February 3 - Penguins Penguin

Same kit for both younger and older kids, but the older kids kit has metal paper fasteners.

Pre-K Takeaway Packets

Interested in developing early literacy skills with your preschooler? Come in to the Children's Department and pick up a weekly packet to learn or practice their letters and numbers.

Miss a week or want to go at your own pace? Find printable letter and number activity sheets on Teachables, a website available to Park Ridge Public Library cardholders that offers educational enrichment resources for families with children from Pre-K to 6th grade.
