Storytime Schedule
Join us for one of our many Storytimes! See below for details on our Storytime line-up, including Storytimes tailored to specific developmental stages. Most are drop-in, but some require advance registration or tickets. All Storytimes meet in-person in the First Floor Meeting Room. Our monthly PJ Storytimes are virtual over Zoom.
Hello Baby! | Ages 0 – 18 months with a caregiver

Snuggle, bounce, and bond with your little ones as we share rhymes, songs, and stories to foster language development and a love of reading.
Bilingual Storytime – Polish / Dwujęzyczna Opowieść | All ages
October 7 @ 6:30 p.m.
Ciesz się dwujęzyczną opowieścią z piosenkami, opowieściami i innymi zajęciami. Stories, songs and activities will be presented both in Polish and English during this bilingual storytime!

Support Storytime & Craft with Little Steps | Ages 3 – 6 with a caregiver
November 22 @ 10 a.m.
An accessible, supported storytime and craft program presented by therapists from Little Steps Pediatric Therapy in Park Ridge with specific age appropriate fine motor and communication skills.
Tickets required. Pick up tickets at the Children’s Desk beginning at 9:30 a.m.
Family Storytime & Craft | Families
October 5 & November 23 @ 10:30 a.m.
Saturdays are family days! Spend your morning together at the Library as we share stories and songs followed by a craft project.
Yoga Family Storytime | Families with kids ages 4 – 7
November 16 @ 10 a.m.
Gather your family and roll out your mat for a story and some stretches.
Registration required. Click on the date above to register. Registration opens three weeks in advance.
Baby Shower
Thank you to all who attended in the Baby Shower program as well as the organizations that participated. If you missed the event and would like to know more about the organizations that participated, please see the handout of participants. A brief description and contact information is provided for participating organizations.
Sensory Support
To help our patrons who have sensory sensitivities, we offer the following support and resources.
Calming Space
For families who need a space to refocus, calm down or feed an infant in private, we welcome them to use our Calming Space. The room has a comfortable chair, dimmable lighting, sensory-supports, a changing table and a sink. Please ask at the Children’s Desk to be admitted.
Sensory-Friendly Hour
We welcome our sensory-sensitive and neurodivergent friends to come experience the library in an adapted and welcoming environment during this early open time, the first Sunday of every month, 11 a.m. to noon. No need to register, just drop in.
