Family Activities
Grow a Garden


Help us grow a garden in May. ​Stop by the Children's Department desk to pick up the materials. Decorate a flower or a butterfly for our spring garden on the Children's Department windows.
First Friday Fun Kits
Look for our craft program, First Friday Fun Kits, which be available beginning at 9:00am on the first Friday of the month. A limited supply of crafts will be available in the Children's Department to pick up to complete at home. One craft will for younger kids and one for older kids (more manual dexterity required). Additional supplies may be necessary. Limit one craft per child.

Pre-K Takeaway

Help your preschooler develop skills -- pick up a PreK Takeaway early literacy packet by Scholastic Teachables when you stop in to see us!
Packets are available by the checkout stations, or you can access the Scholastic Teachables through the Parents page of our website.
Preschool & Enrichment Fair

If you were unable to join us for our Preschool & Enrichment Fair and are interested in learning about local preschools, daycare centers, enrichment programs and parent resources, please stop by the Children's Department desk for a booklet listing them.

Whether you're making an unexpected quick exit or are just popping in for a stack of books, check out one of our Grab & Go Bundles—a preselected group of books by age or reading level:
Toddlers and Preschoolers

• 4 & 5-year-olds
Early Readers
• A & B for beginning reading levels
• C & D for more advanced reading levels
