Finance Manager: Joan Wrenn

The Administration Department is in charge of overall Library operations. Responsibilities include: preparing Board documents, processing payment of library invoices, processing job applications, scheduling meeting rooms, and coordinating all publicity efforts.

Patron Services

Department Manager: Anastasia Rachmaciej

The Patron Services Department handles all materials checked out and returned to the Library. Patron Services also answers incoming calls and general information and directional questions, issues library cards and accepts donations of books and other materials.


Department Manager: John Priala

The Maintenance Department is responsible for the maintenance of the library building. Maintenance staff receive daily deliveries, process outgoing mail, set up meeting rooms for library programs and outside groups using the facility, empty outdoor book drops and provide a clean and safe environment for the public and staff.

Reference & Information Services

Department Manager:  Laura Scott

The Reference Department serves patrons with their information needs, helping them find the information they seek utilizing both print and online resources. The department has a large collection of reference and circulating nonfiction books, more than 300 magazine subscriptions, two dozen newspaper subscriptions and access to more than 50 databases. Public computers are located in the Reference Department. The Reference staff also manages The Studio, our makerspace, and The Media Lab. The Studio and The Media Lab are available to Park Ridge Public Library cardholders only.

Reader Services

Department Manager: Laura Scott

The Reader Services Department serves patrons in person, by phone, and through email.  The department has a collection that includes fiction books, large print books, books on CD, Playaways, DVDs, compact disks, and video games. Staff in the Reader Services Department plan and present programs for adults, provide outreach services to seniors and community groups, and volunteer opportunities.

Technical Services

Department Manager: Lauren Bochat

The Technical Services Department orders, receives, processes, and prepares all new materials for the Library’s collections. This department is also responsible for withdrawing all worn and out-of-date materials.

Youth Services

Department Manager: Staci Greenwald

The Youth Services department serves children, parents, teachers, and adults who work with children. The department has a collection of more than 80,000 items, computers with fun and educational games, access to the Internet, an area for young children to explore, an area for school-age children to relax, read and study, and listening stations. Programs for all ages are offered year-round.

The Teen Loft serves middle school and high school students, providing a collection of books, Playaways, magazines, and video games in a specially designed space. Four computers for access to the Internet are available for students. Programs for middle and high school students are offered year round.
