Learn About Our Strategic Planning Process
Since March, we’ve been working with ReThinking Libraries (RTL) to gather valuable input from you, our patrons, and the community at large about what our services, programs and collection should look like over the next five years and beyond. Thank you to the 2,000+ community members who took our survey, as well as those who participated in our community sessions. This summer, we will continue to work with the team from RTL as they fine-tune our mission, vision, and values and map out a plan to ensure the Library meets the needs of the community for the years ahead.
Get a Library Card
If you live in Park Ridge, you may apply for a library card at Patron Services on the first floor. Library cards are good for three years and must be renewed in person with proper ID. You can also apply for a temporary online library card that is good for 14 days giving you time to bring in your photo ID to pick up your physical card.
Sign up for Programs & Events
Check out our online calendar featuring classes, concerts, book discussions, and activities for kids, teens and adults. Take a class in The Studio, our makerspace (right), attend a program on a timely topic, or get yourself or your favorite little artist or music fan into a concert or class.

Join the Friends of the Library
The Friends of the Library is a not-for-profit organization that raises funds for special programs, collections and services that enhance the Library and benefit the community. The Friends sponsor annual used book sales.
Propose a Program
Do you have the perfect lecture, workshop, concert, or presentation for the Library? Let us know by filling out the Program Proposal form. If your program fits our programming needs and budget, a Library staff member will contact you for more information. The program calendar fills up several months in advance, so please allow plenty of time.

Support the Library
A donation to the Park Ridge Public Library speaks volumes about our community and our future. The Library’s collections are enhanced by donations of materials. Monetary donations support collection growth and improvements which would not be possible without the generosity of our donors.
