Park Ridge Public Library Summer Reading - June 2-August 16, 2025 text over a colorful jungle backdrop.

Summer Reading Visits have started and Middle & High School Coordinator Maddie is out on tour of Park Ridge schools to share program information and recommended reads with students and their teachers. You can find her presentation for Lincoln students here and for Emerson students here. Our summer event schedule will be published mid-May!

Middle Schoolers, we have purchased extra copies of 1,000+ Lexile books to help support summer reading needs of D64 students. A list of high-Lexile books with extra print copies can be found here. You can also visit our Booklists page to search lists by Lexile range and see high-Lexile books in multiple formats.

High schoolers taking advanced/AP English classes, we have purchased extra copies of the required texts, which can be found on display in the Teen Loft starting at the end of May. You can view the list and place holds on titles here. High schoolers taking other English classes, your Summer Reading assignment can be found here and the recommended books here.

Our Summer Reading program begins on June 2.

Winter 2024

Fall 2024

This September/October, Middle & High School Coordinator Maddie visited Lincoln & Emerson Middle Schools to share books nominated for the Rebecca Caudill Young Readers’ Book Award, an annual award given to the author of the book voted most outstanding by children in grades four through eight in participating Illinois schools.
