Whether you’re an adult locked in to a fantasy series on audiobook, a middle schooler who discovered graphic novels, or a baby being read to for the first time, everyone who reads is eligible for Winter Reading and the chance to win a prize. Sign up on Beanstack and log your reading between December 19 and February 1.
Adults who sign up and read four books between December 20 and February 2 will earn a drawing ticket for a chance to win a gift card to a local business. Participants can earn more tickets by taking part in a library-related activity: attending a Library program, referring a friend to the Winter Reading program, or trying a downloadable audiobook from Libby or the Palace Project. Get great book recommendations from our staff’s Virtual Displays or Staff PIcks list or stop in and see our displays on the second floor. Sign up here, stop by the Readers Services desk to sign up in person, or call 847-720-3280 to sign up via phone.
Teens who register and read for 20 minutes for 10 days will get a virtual raffle ticket and a vinyl sticker. Read for 20 days to earn a prize book, plus a virtual raffle ticket and a sticker. Participate in fun activities in The Teen Loft to rack up additional raffle tickets – or just keep logging your reading every day. Get prize information and more on the Teens page of our website. Not sure what to read? Try our Booklists for teens to get started.
Kids who read 10 days win a ticket to enter into our prize drawing for every 10 days of reading you do. Read 20 days and earn a Park Ridge Public Library winter hat! Stop into Children’s Services and play the Plinko game to win an additional prize. Not sure what to read? See our Staff Picks lists for kids, request a Book Match, or ask a librarian the next time you’re in the Library. Find out more about Winter Reading here.
The last day to log reading is Sunday, February 1. No raffle tickets are available after February 1.
