Celebrate the 100th year of Summer Reading and all the reading you did this summer! Join us at the Summer Reading Sendoff, Saturday, August 10, from 10 a.m. to Noon on the Library Lawn.
The event will kick off with live music from 5-time Grammy nominee Justin Roberts at 10 a.m. for the younger patrons and their grownups. At 11 a.m., The Throwbacks take the stage, with their modern twist on popular oldies that make them a popular favorite at festivals around the Chicago area.
In addition to music, performers from RC Juggles will be sharing their balloon artistry and bubble making (bubbles weather permitting) with eventgoers from 10:45 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.
