Don’t forget to bring your library card while we are offline

From August 29 through September 2, our catalog and cardholder services will be offline while the Vernon Area Public Library is added to our consortium.

Also, please note the Library will be closed for the Labor Day holiday on Sunday, August 31, and Monday, September 1. Our drive-thru dropbox will also be closed during this time, but our building dropbox – facing Prospect Avenue – will be open.

There are a few things you should know if you plan to use the Library while we are open on Friday and Saturday, as well as Tuesday:

  • To borrow materials, please remember to bring your library card with you. We will not be able to manually enter your card number as our system will be offline. We will only be able to scan the barcode on the back of the card.
  • You will still be able to borrow books and other materials and pick up holds if you have your physical library card with you.
  • You will not be able to return materials
  • You will not be apply for a library card.
  • You will not be able to place holds; the online catalog will be down.

We thank you for your patience, and are excited to welcome the 32nd library to our consortium. This means an even bigger collection to borrow from than ever.

Have a safe and happy holiday weekend.
