The Park Ridge Library Board of Trustees voted in a new trustee and four officers at its August 16 meeting.

Theresa Renaldi is a marketing communications consultant with 20 years of professional experience, including a foundation in public relations. She served for three years as a trustee for the District 64 Elementary Learning Foundation (ELF).

Alexandrea Hanba was named president, and Josh Kiem was named vice president. David Somheil will serve a second term as treasurer, and Danielle Powers was named secretary. Hanba served as vice president since June 2022, and Kiem served as secretary from 2019 to 2020. The officers will serve in their respective roles through June 2023.

The Mayor’s Advisory Board, consisting of four alderpersons, interviews candidates for non-elected city boards and commissions and makes recommendations to the mayor, who presents them to the full city council for a final vote.
