National Library Week, April 7-11, 2025, is a celebration highlighting the valuable role libraries, librarians, and library workers play in transforming lives and strengthening our communities.
We’re celebrating this year’s national theme, Drawn to the Library, with a giveaway of colored pencils and coloring sheets so patrons can color in our Spring newsletter cover design. Pick up a set of mini colored pencils and a coloring sheet at our Patron Services desk starting Monday, April 7, while supplies last. (One pencil set per patron, please.)
The pictures in each square of the coloring sheet are illustrated versions of actual photos taken in recent years of patrons experiencing the Library, from time spent in the Quiet Reading Room to a session in The Studio, to a grade schooler participating in Read to the Dogs. There are so many ways one can be drawn to the Library. View our online calendar of upcoming programs here.
In addition to the giveaway, watch our Facebook and Instagram as we celebrate our staff on National Library Workers Day, Tuesday, April 8. Throughout the week, we’ll also be sharing fun facts about the Library and how our patrons have been more active than ever in reading and attending programs.
