Computers - Public workstations are available for your job searching needs including exploring job boards, applying online and updating your resume.  Workstations are available free with a Park Ridge Library card.  Black and white printing is 10 cents per page.  We have the 2016 version of the Microsoft Office products - Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Instruction and Help at the Library

Power Employment Workshop: This is a comprehensive workshop led by professionals from Business & Career Services at the North Suburban Cook County American Job Center (formerly Illinois WorkNet) and includes resume and cover letter guidance, job search techniques, interviewing skills and connecting through social media. Class is usually from 9:30 to 3:30 p.m. on the second Friday of each month, except July. Free program, space is limited to the first 20 registrants. You can find our workshops listed on the Business & Career Services page.

SCORE Small Business Counseling: While in person events have been cancelled at the Library for the immediate future, you can still take advantage of free business coaching sessions over the phone. Counselors from the SCORE North Cook and Lake Counties Chapter #0726 are available to advise small business owners and start-ups with planning, marketing or financial solutions during this unprecedented time.
