Homebound Delivery recipient reads 1000th book

Congratulations to Janet Jack, who has borrowed – and read – more than 1000 books delivered to her through the Library’s Homebound Delivery service.

With Homebound Delivery, library staff and volunteers arrange to deliver any type of circulating library material (books, audiobooks, CDs, etc.) to cardholders who can’t get to the library. Any person living in Park Ridge who is temporarily or permanently unable to come to the library because of illness, disability, mobility issues or other factors is eligible for the service.

Homebound Delivery is available year-round or seasonally. Janet is pictured here with Gerry Zwicky, who has volunteered to do homebound deliveries since the service’s inception.

If you, or someone you know, would like to use this service, learn more here or contact Cathy Thompson at 847-720-3382.
