Friends of the Library raise $6,100 at fall book sale

The Friends of the Park Ridge Library announced their Fall Book Sale raised $6,100. Proceeds from all the Friends book sales help cover the cost of live music performances, furniture and play equipment, Winter Reading and Summer Reading prizes, and other essential library items.

“We are so very grateful to all who participated in the sale, be they donors, volunteers, or customers,” said Deb Kuhlman, Friends of the Library co-president. “We received some beautiful items that now have found new homes. Thanks to everyone’s efforts, the Friends will be able to make a substantial contribution to the library for 2024.”

The Friends are already planning for the Spring Sale on May 3 through May 5. Members of the Friends of the Library enjoy perks like an invitation to the Members Only Preview Night, as well as a discount coupon to use at the next sale. Get details and sign up to be a Friend of the Library here.

The Friends are always collecting new and very gently used books to include in the sale. The dropbox for donating items is located at the back of the Library in the staff area of the parking lot.
