The Friends of the Park Ridge Library will host its annual Fall Book Sale at the Library on Saturday, October 21, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. A special Preview Night is open to members of the Friends of the Library on Friday, October 20, from 4 to 7 p.m. Friends of the Library memberships can be purchased online or at the door on Preview Night starting at $25 for an individual membership; cash or check is accepted.

A Half-Price Sale will be held on Sunday, October 22, from noon to 2 p.m.

The sale features children’s books, recent fiction and nonfiction bestsellers in hardcover and paperback, travel guides, history, and all types of craft and cookbooks. In addition, there are feature and classic movies and TV shows as well as CDs ranging from jazz and classical to country and hip-hop.

Among the programs and projects that the Friends have supported in the past year are licenses for feature and classic films shown at the library, prizes for library reading clubs, and the Library’s new drive-through book drop.

The Friends of the Library is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) volunteer organization, dedicated to the support of the Library. Through an annual membership drive and several large book sales, the Friends raise money for special programs, collections and services that enhance the Library and benefit the community. Each year the Friends contribute more than $20,000 to the Library. For more information, visit our Friends of the Library page.
