Instruction and Help at the Library

Illinois_worknet_logoPower Employment Workshop: This is a comprehensive workshop led by professionals from the Illinois Worknet Center and includes resume and cover letter guidance, job search techniques, interviewing skills and connecting through social media. Class is from 9:30 to 3:30 p.m. on the second Friday of each month, except July which is on the third Friday. Free program, space is limited to first 20 registrants.

Computer Classes:  Free for Park Ridge Public Library cardholders. You can register online, by phone at 847-720-3230 or in person with your library card number. There is a $15 fee per person for non-Park Ridge Library cardholders. Please visit the Library in person to register and pay by cash or check.

Computers - Public workstations are available for your job searching needs including exploring job boards, applying online and updating your resume.  Workstations available free with a Park Ridge Library card.  Black and white printing is 10 cents per page.  We have the 2010 version of the Microsoft Office products - Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
