Computers - Public workstations are available for your job searching needs including exploring job boards, applying online and updating your resume.  Workstations are available free with a Park Ridge Library card.  Black and white printing is 10 cents per page.  We have the 2016 version of the Microsoft Office products - Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Video tutorials on software, web design, business/management skills, financial literacy, job/career skills, social networking, etc. Includes Microsoft Office, Windows, and Mac OS. Requires your Library card number and the password you use in the online catalog.  Mobile apps and a tutorial are available.

Instruction and Help at the Library

Power Employment Workshop: Indefinitely Postponed. Even though these Workshops at the Library have been indefinitely postponed, the North Suburban Cook County American Job Center offers free classes on virtual interviews, resumes, and more.  Registration requires only your name and email address.  All classes are hosted on Go To Meeting, similar to Zoom.

SCORE Small Business Counseling: While in person events have been cancelled at the Library for the immediate future, you can still take advantage of free business coaching sessions over the phone. Counselors from the SCORE North Cook and Lake Counties Chapter #0726 are available to advise small business owners and start-ups with planning, marketing or financial solutions during this unprecedented time.
