Scout Troop Resources




Please note that scout troop visits are not currently being scheduled due to COVID. We will resume when conditions improve.

Visits can be scheduled during the following times, depending on the Library program schedule:

  • Wednesday evenings: 4-8pm
  • Weekday afternoons: 4-5pm

  • Book Discussion

                      Choose a book to read from the Monarch, Bluestem or Caudill lists and Library staff will lead a discussion.

  • History of Park Ridge

Learn about the Library’s beginnings and how it has changed throughout the years. A library tour will be given after.

  • Library Research Skills

Discover various ways to research using Library resources. A scavenger hunt will test those skills at the end. 


Explore hands-on learning stations that incorporate science, technology engineering, art, and math.

  • Tour of the Library

                     Take a guided tour of the Library and learn about the different departments.


Planning a Scout Visit



We can pull materials for your troop using your Park Ridge Library card. Click on the link below if you would like us to pull resources, such as books, movies, music, etc. to support a topic you will be covering that is not mentioned above (i.e. gardening, recycling).
