Rapisand was also named to a second term as board president. Alexandrea Hanba was named vice president, and David Somheil, formerly Board of Trustees secretary, will now serve as treasurer. Deepika Thiagarajan was named secretary.

In her first 3-year term on the Board of Trustees, co-chaired the Communications and Development committee, helping the Library’s staff, administration and trustees with the development of their new strategic plan. As lead of the Board’s Personnel committee, Hanba led the search for the new Library director. The officers will serve in their respective roles through June 2022.

The Mayor’s Advisory Board, consisting of four aldermen, interviews candidates for non-elected city boards and commissions and makes recommendations to the mayor, who presents them to the full city council for a final vote.
