Learn more about serving on city commissions, September 29

September 23, 2022 09:32 AM

The Park Ridge Library will host a six-person panel discussion about serving on a city commission on Thursday, September 29, at 7 p.m. in the first floor meeting room. Attendees can hear from current Commission members about their work, the time commitment involved in serving, and how one can apply for appointment. Registration is available via the library website.

“This is a great opportunity for anyone who has an interest in getting more involved in the community to learn about what is required of anyone serving on a city commission,” said Library Director Joanna Bertucci.

The one-hour program will include time for questions from the audience. Representatives from the following commissions will participate: Community Health; Library Board of Trustees; Zoning Board of Appeals; Civil Service; Historic Preservation; and a past member of the Bike/Walk Task Force and Community Health Commission. All of the panelists can comment on the appointment process.
