Help us celebrate the New Year and our newly renovated Library by joining one of our Winter Reading Clubs for adults, teens or children beginning January 2 and running through February 28. Readers of all ages will have the opportunity to win prizes (sponsored by the Friends of the Library) if they meet their reading goals. Besides print, you can download eBooks or listen to audiobooks.
This year’s theme is “New Year, New Library”! Feel free to stop at any one of the service desks (Children’s, Teen or Adult) to register in person or to get reading recommendations. Patrons can also register online.
We are excited to announce that this year you can use Beanstack to register online and track your progress! Create a free account for yourself or your whole family. Registration is easy and they even have a great mobile app for Apple or Android devices to help you record your progress wherever you might be caught reading.
Watch this short tutorial for tips on signing up and logging your reading!
: Start the new year with a good book! Sign up at any service desk to receive your paper Winter Reading log or register yourself and your family online. When you have read four titles, return your completed log to the Reader Services desk to be entered to win gift cards from local businesses. Participants signing up on the first day will receive a bonus prize (while supplies last).
: Everyone has a chance to earn prizes this winter. Teens who read for 20 days will get a free paperback and be entered to win an Amazon gift card. Sign up online or stop by any service desk to sign up in person.
: The Winter Reading Club encourages kids and families to read every day this winter. When children reach their goals of reading at least 20 days— they will get to choose a book to keep for their home library! Sign up online or stop by any service desk to sign up in person.
