We offer wireless Internet access for your laptop.
In addition, the Park Ridge Library now offers wireless printing for mobile users! No driver or software installation is needed.
To connect, you must have a network card installed in your laptop - either wired or wireless. The Library will not be lending network cards.
Wireless Network Card Connection:
- Set to "Obtain IP Address Automatically" and reboot.
Wired Network Card Connection:
- Check out a "Client Bridge" at any information desk
- Plug the network cable into your wired network card
- Plug the "Client Bridge" into a power outlet
- Change network adapter to "Obtain IP Address Automatically"
The Library cannot provide individual instruction on how to change settings on your computer and is not responsible for problems caused by changing settings on your computer.
Filtered access is available only during Library hours.

Library Now Offers Wireless Printing!!
Just click on the link below and follow the step-by-step instructions. Please be aware of the following things before using the wireless printing:
- Wireless print jobs are not locked or secured, so anyone can print them. Please keep this in mind when choosing the types of documents you want to print.
- All wireless print jobs will show up at the print stations under the computer named BESSERVER
- We recommend naming any file you send to the wireless printing system something unique or with your name to help avoid confussion and make finding your print jobs easier
- Please be aware that only 8" x 11" paper size is available for wireless printing.
- Printing costs are as follows: $0.10 per page for black and white, $1.00 per page for color
