| HERITAGE ROOM |
The Heritage Room was established as a Bicentennial
project to provide a centralized source for material
relating to the history or Park Ridge, Maine Township, the
Chicago metropolitan area, and the State of Illinois. The
Heritage Room is not open to the public, but staff will be
happy to get you materials listed as Heritage Room items.

| COMMUNITY BOARDS |
There are two community information boards.
Just inside the Reference Department, on the wall
to your left, you will find the official announcements
from the City of Park Ridge and the Library. |

As you enter the Reader Services Department,
turn right into the New Book Room. Across the
room, between the windows, you will find a Local
Area Announcements, which has listings of area
events and activities. |

| PARK RIDGE STREET MAP |
As you enter the Reference Department,
turn right and approach the end of the Reference Desk.
There is a map of the city on the desk. Copies of the map
are available at the Reference Desk.

| TELEPHONE BOOKS |
Local and area directories are kept behind
the Reference Desk. Just ask at the desk for the
white or yellow pages you need. We also have a
Haines reverse directory. |

| BUS SCHEDULES |
As you come into the Reference Department,
turn into the first alcove on the left. Just to
the left of the window ahead of you is a rack
containing the Pace bus schedules. |
