Volunteer Opportunities at the Library
Teen Advisory Board
The Teen Advisory Board meets monthly during the school year to help plan YA programming, summer reading, discuss ideas for the loft and other YA activities. Service hours are available for all meetings, earn hours and bring new ideas to The Loft.

Junior Volunteers
Park Ridge Public Library offers volunteer opportunities for Middle School /Jr. High students needing to fulfill service hour requirements for school or Confirmation, September through April.
One-Time Opportunities
Sign up for one-time events (2 hours) by visiting the Reader Services desk on the 2nd floor of the Library. These opportunities include Children's and Young Adult program assistance, Circulation help, and other short-term projects.
Longer-Term Opportunities
Students interested in a longer-term opportunity (4-8 hours total) can choose to volunteer in one of the following Library Departments and should fill out an application in person at the Reader Services Desk on the 2nd floor.
Mondays, 3:30—5:30 Reference Department
Wednesdays, 3:30—5:30 Reader Services Department
Thursdays, 3:30—5:30 Children’s Department
