Teen Advisory Board
The Teen Advisory Board meets 4 times a year to help plan YA programming, summer reading, discuss ideas for the loft and other YA activities. Service hours are available for all meetings, earn hours and bring new ideas to The Loft.

Summer 2010 Volunteer Opportunities
Book Buddies
June 21- July 30
Be a big buddy to a second grader and spend 30 minutes a week reading books together. Attend the required training session and be available for your chosen time slot each week. Sign up during Summer Reading Kick-off or stop in The Loft to sign up for a buddy.
Required training session: Thursday, June 17, 12:00 – 1:00 p.m.
Junior Volunteers
Grades 7 and up
Junior Volunteers work 2 hours a week for 4 weeks. Openings are limited; positions will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Complete an application on Kickoff Day, Friday June 11th.
Session One: June 22 - July 17 (orientation Monday, June 21, noon)
Session Two: July 20 - August 14 (orientation Monday, July 19, noon)
Children's Program Assistants
Grades 7 and up
Like working with young children? Volunteer this summer for Children's department programs. Sign up at Kickoff day or ask at the Children's desk for more information.
