Teen Summer Reading: Reading Is My Favorite Sport
May 16 – August 14
Read three books and get a free paperback book; read more for extra raffle tickets. For each three books you finish, stop in for a raffle ticket for our final grand prize drawing. Prizes sponsored by the Friends of the Library. Sign up for the Summer Reading Club in person at the Library or online at www.parkridgelibrary.org.

Babysitting Class

Learn the skills of babysitting, including childcare, safety, and finding clients. You must attend both classes in your session. Max: 25

Self-Defense with MBD Martial Arts Academy

MBD Martial Arts will cover self-defense situations and techniques that are age appropriate. If faced with harm, students learn to defend themselves in the quickest and most efficient way. Parent permission form required. Max: 30

Cards for Hospitalized Kids

Spread hope and joy across the country by making handmade cards that will bring a smile to the face of a hospitalized child. Service hours available. Drop-in.

Chicago Team Logos: A Painting Workshop

Christine Thornton will help us celebrate our summer reading theme with this fun painting workshop. We’ll talk about how sports logos are designed. Then you’ll choose your favorite team logo and bring it to life! No painting experience required. Max: 30
