Research

The Reference Department serves patrons from 6th grade through adult in person, by telephone, email, AskAway chat and instant messaging using a wide variety of print and online resources. These resources include a reference book collection with special areas such as Business Reference, Consumer Reference and Career /College Reference and over 70,000 non-fiction titles. 

Through Interlibrary Loan, we can also obtain items held by other libraries. Patrons also have access to over 300 magazine and newspaper subscriptions in addition to over 50 premium resources. Most of the premium resources are available to Park Ridge Public Library cardholders from home. We also have 21 public computers with access to our premium resources, the internet and various software programs including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
