Program Registration

The Library offers a variety of programs for patrons of all ages. To access the Library's selection of programs, choose Calendar of Events. Choose the date and event that you are interested in and click on the title.

To register for programs:

  • You may contact the department directly:
    • Children's programs - please contact the Children's Services Department at 7-825-4527
    • Adult or Young Adult programs - please contact Reader Services at (847) 825-3123
    • Computer training classes contact Reference Department at (847) 825-3123
  • for some programs, you may register using our online registration.

Online Registration

The events that require registration are designated by the underlined event titles on the Calendar. (Programs not underlined will offer a description of the program and details about registration.) Choose the underlined event title on the calendar to sign up for the event.
A box describing the event appears at the top of the page.

Status: Openings

You can check if there are still openings for registrations for the program.
Status: "Openings” you may continue with your registration.

If the session is fully registered you will see:

Status:Full. We're sorry. This event is currently full.
Some programs may also offer a waiting list.
If the session is fully registered but staff have enabled a waiting list, you will see:
Status: "Waiting List" - You may still register but you will be placed on a waiting
list.
Staff will carefully review registrations prior to the event and, in case of any
cancellations, those on the waiting list will be moved to “registered” in order
of time of registration. In that case you will be notified ASAP that
your status has changed from “waiting list” to “registered”

E-mail Confirmation and reminders
If you enter your e-mail address you will receive a confirmation e-mail notice and you will receive a reminder about your registration two days prior to the event. If you would prefer not to receive those e-mails please leave the e-mail address blank.
Complete the form and choose “Complete Registration” button.

You will see a confirmation screen:

The confirmation number is:20060620192205ag.

If you haven't chosen the e-mail confirmation notice, you should print this screen as confirmation of your registration and you will need the confirmation number in the future if you choose to check your personal registrations online.

The Library has also added a field which we would appreciate your answering. (Not required)

How did you hear about this program/event?:
We are interested in learning how our patrons learn about our programs. It would help the Library determine the best methods of marketing our programs and keeping you informed.
The choices are:

  • Notice on Library display board
  • Flyer in the Library

Personal Schedule:
You can view a summary of the events for which you have registered.The link for this summary is at the top of the Calendar.

Display personal calendar
Click on this link and you will be taken to a page that prompts you to enter your name and a confirmation number. This can be any confirmation number associated with a program you are registered for.This list can be printed using the printer function in the browser.
