USE OF LIBRARY FACILITIES

SPECIAL SERVICES ROOM & EQUIPMENT
POLICY:
The Park Ridge Public Library provides a Special Services Room with assistive technology for the handicapped and visually impaired.
RULES:

The Special Services Room is available to handicapped and visually impaired patrons of all ages. No identification is required to use the equipment.

Use of equipment is available either by reservation or on a first come, first served basis. Staff assistance can be arranged through the Reader Services Department.

The Special Services Room is kept locked when not in use. Either staff from Reader Services or the Reference Department can open the room, sign in the patrons, and start the equipment.

There are self-explanatory directions for the various software programs. While Library staff is available for guidance, they cannot provide in-depth instruction.

The Library has the right to restrict usage by those who cannot abide by the general regulations of the Library or the specific regulations governing the equipment.

Patrons are liable for library materials or equipment damaged through careless or malicious use. The cost of the damage will be determined by the Library Director.
