Adult Programs at the Library
The Park Ridge Public Library offers ongoing programs and events for adults that promote lifelong learning:
Book Discussion Groups
Three monthly book discussion groups meet at the Library:
- Non-Fiction Book Discussion
- Evening Book Discussion
- Thursday Morning Book Discussion
Each group is facilitated by a member of the Reader Services Department. Meetings are limited to 20 participants. Pre-registration is required. New members are always welcome.

Travel Films
Travel the world from the comfort of your chair. The Library shows a travel film every Thursday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. No registration is necessary. Seating is first-come first-served.

Feature, Foreign, and Documentary Film Screenings
Free films are shown at the Park Ridge Public Library on a regular basis. No registration is necessary. Seating opens 30 minutes before showtime and is first-come, first-served.

Programs, Concerts, and Workshops
The Library hosts a variety of afternoon and evening music concerts, lectures, and workshops for adults. Pre-registration for these programs is encouraged and can be done online, by phone at 847-720-3280, or in-person at the Reader Services Desk on the 2nd floor.

Computer Classes
The Library offers a variety of computer classes and an Open Computer Lab where tech questions can be answered. Pre-registration for the computer classes is required. No registration is necessary for the Open Computer Lab which occurs on the second Saturday of each month. Registration for the computer classes can be done online, by phone at 847-720-3280, or in-person at the Reader Services Desk on the 2nd floor.
