A library card is required to check out materials and to access our online databases from home or work.
Library cards are issued to all Park Ridge residents free of charge. To obtain a library card please bring proof of residency of your current home address (driver's license, state ID card, check book, utility bill or lease) to the Circulation Desk in the lobby - it only takes a few minutes to obtain a card and cards are valid for three years. Nonresident Library Cards
The Park Ridge Public Library is a member of the Reaching Across Illinois Library System and accepts cards from more than 400 public libraries in the library system. If you do not live within the system or you are in an area that does not have library service you may be eligible to purchase a nonresident card. Nonresident library cards are $170 for six months or $340 per year and provide access to library materials, programs and online databases.
For more information please read the Library Card Policy - Nonresidents - or call the Circulation Department at 847-825-3123.
