The Friends of the Library is a voluntary organization of citizens who support the Library. Fund raising events include several book sales each year. New members are always welcome.
The Park Ridge Public Library sincerely appreciates the ongoing and sustaining support it receives from the Friends of the Library. Through their various Fund raising efforts including membership and book sales, the Friends purchase various items which enhance the Library's service to the Park Ridge community. During FY 2005/2006 the Friends contributed to the Library's Endowment Fund, purchased Reference books, paid for Children's and Young Adults' programming, supplied materials and prizes for Children's Services Summer and Winter Reading Clubs and purchased books on CDs and DVDs for adults. The Friends also contibuted $5,500 to the Library Van Fund.
