The Friends of the Library is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization, dedicated to the support of the Library. Through an annual membership drive and several large book sales, the Friends raise money for special programs, collections and services that enhance the Library and benefit the community. Each year the Friends contribute more than $20,000 to the Library.

In 2015 funds were used to purchase books for adults, teens and children plus new DVDs and video games. The Friends also provided funds for programs for children and adults, prizes for all of the summer and winter reading clubs and they paid for the two film licenses that allow the Library to show a variety of feature and classic films throughout the year.
