Library Card Application
Who may apply for a Library card?

  • Park Ridge Residents
    Park Ridge residents may receive a Park Ridge Library
    card free of charge.
    (Any delinquencies must be cleared before a card will be issued.)
    (A parent's signature is required for children under the age of 12 years.)

  • Non-Park Ridge Residents (The Park Ridge Public Library will lend materials to any patron with a valid library card from a North Suburban Library System library.)

    Other non-residents, who are ineligible for a valid NSLS card, may receive a Park Ridge card in two ways:
    • Payment of a non-resident fee of $265 per year or $132.50 for six months.
    • Free non-resident valid for three years. Individuals not legally residing in Park Ridge shall, upon proper application, be entitled to a free nonresident borrower's card under the following conditions:
      1. Any person who pays real estate property taxes to support the Park Ridge Public Library.
      2. Any individual, partner, principal stockholder or other joint owner who owns taxable property or is a senior administrative officer of a firm, business, or other corporation owning taxable property upon presentation of a recent tax bill or lease for property in Park Ridge.
        Only one non-resident card will be issued for each parcel of taxable property or leased property.

You may stop in at the library at the Circulation Desk in the first floor lobby or, to facilitate the process, you may fill in this application form as completely as you can now, and click on the "Submit Form" button at the bottom of the form.

Your card will be available at the Library's Circulation Desk 72 hours after submission of this form.

You must present evidence of your current home address (driver's license, state ID card, check book, utility bill or lease), and you will be required to sign a printed version of this form, as well as the Borrower's Agreement on the back of the Library card.
