Application for Board of TrusteesPark Ridge residents are invited to apply for a position on the Library Board of Trustees. The Board consists of nine members, appointed by the mayor with the consent of the City Council. This Board acts as a board of directors on finances, policy, programs and personnel of the Library. There are usually two meetings per month, a committee meeting (second Tuesday or Thursday each month, depending on the committee) and the monthly Board meeting (third Tuesday of the month). Three positions on the Board become available every year at the end of June. Board members serve for a period of three years at which time they may be considered for re-appointment. Interested candidates should apply to the City of Park Ridge. The Mayor's Advisory Committee, Aldermen Allegretti, Bach, DiPietro, and Wsol will interview candidates and then make arecommendation to the Mayor and the Council.
