Low Vision Fair 2016
The 9th annual Low Vision Fair will be held on Friday, April 1, from 1-4 p.m. at East Wing Glenview Senior Center, 2400 Chestnut Ave. Glenview, IL. The fair is co-sponsored by the Glenview, Morton Grove, Niles, Northbrook, Park Ridge, Prospect Heights, Skokie, and Vernon Area Public Libraries. Dr. Jack Cohen, retina specialist, will talk about "Update in Age-Related Macular Degeneration." Glaucoma and Diabetic Retinopathy screenings will be offered. Read More

Park Ridge Public Library presents Legends of Laughter II: The Comedy Teams
This ten-film series, opening on March 3, will be showcasing the great movie comedy teams of the 1930s, ‘40s and ‘50s. Profiling comedians whose names are synonymous with the Golden Age of Hollywood: Laurel & Hardy, the Marx Brothers and Abbott & Costello, as well as lesser-known teams of Wheeler & Woolsey, Olsen & Johnson and the female comediennes, Thelma Todd, Patsy Kelly and Zasu Pitts, this series is a sequel to the popular 2011 program that profiled the great comics of the silent screen.
