Libraries around the country depend on their Friends of the Library members – individuals who pay yearly dues and often contribute hours of volunteer help to  support programs and services. They provide crucial funding for new library materials and projects, and give a second life to withdrawn materials by organizing book sales and donating to schools and charities.

Over the years, the Friends of the Park Ridge Public Library have allowed us to provide a wider range of materials and programs to patrons. Recent contributions include:

·         Books, CDs, DVDs, and video games for adults, teens,  and children

·         Reading Club Prizes and other promotional items

·         New furniture in Reader Services, as well as outdoor seating

·         Regular contributions to the Library Endowment Fund

·         Entertainment for events like the Holiday Open House

·         Ongoing support for Library programs

The Friends are the true champions of the Library. We would like to take this opportunity to thank the Friends for more than 60 years of support in our mission to serve the Park Ridge community.
