A Library for a Library

Last year a group of local residents formed an organization called Park Ridge Cares and partnered with Global Alliance for Africa to raise funds to build a library and a community center in Kibosho, Tanzania.  The Park Ridge Public Library joined the effort by sharing information with the community and accepting donations for the project.

We are pleased to report the project was recently completed and members of Park Ridge Cares will soon be traveling to Kibosho to help dedicate the new library/community center.

Hundred of people are expected to show up for the dedication on February 7.  Be sure to check our website later for photos, and many thanks to the residents of Park Ridge who made this project a reality.
